Glamping is a modern alternative to traditional camping, with cosy and comfortable conditions, but keeping the principal aspect of camping, such as a direct contact with nature. This camping style became known at the end of the 20th century and developed as a combination of “glamour” and “camping”, providing a valid alternative for all those who seek direct contact with nature without giving up sophisticated habits and daily life comfort.
Lima Escape Glamping presents glamping tents during the summer and cosy lodges (so-called Bungalows) the whole year round. There are 2 tent types with stylish oriental decoration – Tipi tents and Bell Tents – both with 5 meters of diameter and set up on a wooden terrace with magnificent view over the river. There are Bungalow T1, studio Colour Lodges and Bungalow T1+1 and T1+1 TOP (both of these with 1 bedroom & 1 sofa-bed in the living-room) and also a Forest House (the only T2 accommodation).
The perfect Lima Escape Camping & Glamping location right in the middle of the Peneda-Gerês National Park on a beautiful peninsula surrounded by rivers Lima, Froufe and Tamente provides its guests quite & pure contact with nature.
From here you can discover mountain small lagoons & waterfalls, swim in the rivers or enjoy different water activities during long Portuguese summer. In the cooler months we recommend wide range of hiking trails and other land activities like jeep & quad guided tours carried out in partnership with local companies.
In order to provide our guests with whole “family” style stays, Lima Escape Camping & Glamping allows pets access in all glamping accommodations, so your best 4-legs friends can also enjoy their freedom and contact with pure nature.
Since Lima Escape Camping & Glamping’s concept is “Escape to Nature”, in other words, the greatest proximity to nature, we encourage and invite our visitors to “disconnect” from their daily routine and thus provide them with a stay in communion with the beauty & sounds of nature, but at the same time free from Wi-Fi and TV (none of our accommodations are fitted with Wi-Fi or TV).
Still we are pleased to suggest our free Wi-Fi at the Reception and in Lima Bar (Lima Bar also with TV including all main sports channels).
In the summer months, stays at the Glamour Camping (Lima Escape accommodations – Glamour Tents, Lodges and Forest House) include a morning use of the pool area (from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm).
